Shanon Peake named to S.C. Bar’s 2025 S.C. Bar Leadership Academy

Shanon N. Peake, a member of SMITH | ROBINSON law firm, has been named to the South Carolina Bar’s 2025 Leadership Academy, a selective program designed to train the next generation of Bar members and community leaders.

She is among 10 lawyers named to the Academy at the end of 2024. As the Bar said in an announcement on Facebook, “These talented S.C. lawyers are ready to build leadership skills, foster connections and make a lasting impact in the legal community and beyond.”

The Academy selects its members carefully from among attorney applicants who have been in practice between three and 15 years. The aim is to provide high-quality, interactive leadership training to enable members to become effective leaders in local and state bar organizations, in South Carolina communities and nonprofits, and to serve as role models in matters of ethics and professionalism.

Ms. Peake was named a member of SMITH | ROBINSON in 2024, after five years with the firm. She grew up in Elgin and attended Lugoff-Elgin High School before attending the University of South Carolina. She earned her Juris Doctor from that university’s law school in 2016.
