  • Sumter Paralegal

    Full-Time, Litigation Paralegal will manage new and existing litigation files during pre-litigation and all phases of litigation. Ideal candidate would have 1-5 years of litigation paralegal experience. Other duties include:
       -  Prepares/drafts/electronically files pleadings and other legal documents, including but not limited to Requests to Produce and Interrogatories, as necessary;
       - Effectuates service of legal documents, as required;
       - Reviews and organizes incoming discovery responses and document productions in accordance with case requirements;
       - Obtains and maintains necessary information for files, including but not limited to, witness statements, investigative reports, affidavits, medical records, etc.;
       - Prepares/drafts correspondence necessary throughout litigation process;
       - Schedules and maintains calendar for depositions, mediation, hearings and meetings with clients, Courts and opposing counsel;
       - Issues and tracks subpoenas/responses;
       - Reviews deposition transcripts and assists in preparation of deposition summaries, as requested;
       - 
    Reviews any insurance claim reports to investigate any prior claims;
       - Assists in preparing mediation, trial or pre-trial reports, as requested;
       - Communicate with clients, as needed throughout litigation process;
       - Prepares case chronologies
