Sydney Douglas is an associate attorney at Smith Robinson, concentrating her time in general litigation. Sydney earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina (UofSC) School of Law in 2022. During law school, she served as a Senior Associate Editor-in-Chief for the South Carolina Law Review. She also served as President of Health Law Society and participated in other various student organizations including Women in Law, the Student Bar Association, and the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. Ms. Douglas earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University in 2013. While at Drexel, she was a member of the women’s soccer team.
Before joining Smith Robinson, Ms. Douglas was a judicial extern at the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and an in-house counsel extern at Lexington Medical Center. She also worked as a law clerk for the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee and as a research assistant for Dean Susan S. Kuo with University of South Carolina School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Douglas was an office manager and billing director for a private optometry practice in California.
