Samuel L. Key is an associate attorney at Smith Robinson. Mr. Key earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina (UofSC) School of Law in 2017. During law school, he received CALI Awards in Wills, Trusts, and Estates. He was a member of the Student Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi, and Federalist Society. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from UofSC in 2013. 

Prior to joining Smith Robinson, Mr. Key served as Assistant Attorney General where he handled post-conviction relief for the 5th, 6th, and 12th Judicial Circuits. In 2017, he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable George C. James, Jr. Mr. Key also participated in a Law Clerk Internship for Judge Gordon B. Jenkinson in 2015. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar.
