Rachel Lee joined Smith Robinson in 2021 as an associate attorney in the Columbia office. Her practice focuses on complex litigation and appellate law.
Rachel Lee is an associate attorney at Smith Robinson. Ms. Lee earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina (UofSC) School of Law in 2019. During law school, she served as the editor-in-chief of the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business. She also participated in various organizations including the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court as a student member, Moot Court, Women in Law, the International Law Society, and S.C. Against Human Trafficking. She was a member of the Order of Barristers and received CALI Awards in Business Torts and Special Education. She was also the 2019 recipient of the Bronze Compleat Lawyer Award. Ms. Lee earned her Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication, cum laude, from the College of Charleston in 2012.
Prior to joining Smith Robinson, Ms. Lee was a staff attorney with the South Carolina Court of Appeals. She also worked as a judicial extern with the South Carolina Court of Appeals, as a research assistant for both the Rule of Law Collaborative and Professor Aparna Polavarapu with University of South Carolina School of Law, and as a law clerk for both AgFirst Farm Credit Bank and the Richland County Probate Court. Before attending law school, Ms. Lee was a catering sales director in Charleston, South Carolina. Ms. Lee is a member of the South Carolina Bar.
