Alex Atkinson joined the firm in 2019. Prior to joining the law firm, Alex served as Law Clerk to the Honorable R. Ferrell Cothran, chief administrative judge for the Third Circuit. As a law clerk, Alex observed and participated in a wide variety of trials, both criminal and civil.
In 2014, Alex received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a concentration in Biomedical Ethics, from Wofford College. In 2018, Alex Received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, Alex worked for the Hood Law Firm assisting with medical malpractice, construction law, and trusts and estates.
Before attending law school, Alex worked for a primary care physician as a certified Community Health Worker in Kingstree, SC. During that time, Alex assisted the physicians and their patients manage complex medical conditions on a daily basis.
Alex is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the Sumter County Bar.
