Jonathan Robinson selected for membership in ABOTA

Smith Robinson Holler DuBose and Morgan, LLC, is pleased to announce that attorney Jonathan M. Robinson has recently been invited to become a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Founded in 1958, membership to this national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges is by invitation only. Its members are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment.
“It comes as no surprise to me that Jon was selected to join this prestigious organization,” says G. I can think of no one more deserving of this recognition.”
Members of ABOTA must have at least five years of active experience as a trial lawyer, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion, and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism.
Mr. Robinson is the managing member of SMITH | ROBINSON. He has represented clients in South Carolina state and federal courts and has successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdicts. He also serves as the Assistant County Attorney for Kershaw County.
Mr. Robinson received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina in 1997 and his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2000. He is an active member of the community. He has served as president of the Kershaw County Bar Association and Chair of the South Carolina Commission on National and Community Service. He is currently a member of the South Carolina Insurance Fraud Investigators Association, Electric Cooperative Bar Association, Kershaw County Bar Association, and South Carolina Bar.
