South Carolina Super Lawyers has named Smith Robinson attorney Shanon Peake to its 2024 “Rising Stars” list.
Shanon’s practice with the firm focuses on a wide variety of civil litigation including complex commercial litigation and appellate practice.
She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2016. In law school, she served as senior articles editor of the South Carolina Law Review. She also participated in Moot Court, the Order of the Wig and Robe, and Women in Law, and received the CALI award in Wills, Trusts, and Estates. She earned her bachelor’s degree in international studies with a double major in English, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 2012.
Before joining Smith Robinson, she clerked for the Honorable Paula H. Thomas of the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and also she worked as a staff attorney at the Court of Appeals. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar and is admitted to practice before all state courts, as well as U.S. District Court of South Carolina and the U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.
The “Rising Stars” list recognizes outstanding lawyers who are younger than 40, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Super Lawyers and Rising Stars are selected through a multiphase process involving peer nomination, independent research and peer evaluation.
