H. Thomas Morgan, Jr. is a founding partner of Smith Robinson. He currently serves as the Assistant Kershaw County Attorney and the Assistant Georgetown Attorney and has extensive experience in all aspects of governmental law.  In addition, Tommy defends counties and law enforcement officials in civil cases. Tommy has represented clients in both South Carolina state and federal courts and successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdicts.  He has also successfully argued before the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.  In providing legal counsel to his clients, Tommy is a creative thinker and works hard at finding ways to resolve their issues.  

Prior to the Smith Robinson merger, Tommy practiced at DuBose Robinson Morgan for nine years.  Before entering private practice, Tommy was a Staff Attorney at the South Carolina Supreme Court. 

Prior to law school, Tommy served in the United States Army, Military Intelligence Branch, where he received numerous awards for his service, including a Joint Service Commendation Medal and Global War on Terrorism Medal.  

Tommy and his wife, Angie, have three children and he enjoys spending time with them in the mountains, on the lake, and at their home in rural Kershaw County.
